PUBLIC RELATIONS & MARKETINGSusan Cingari’s first foray into the public relations and marketing arena came as a direct result of a television project she was producing for her company, STARQUEST PRIME TIME PRODUCTIONS. While Susan was with a well known syndication company who had successfully sold television for over 25 years, sales were lagging and she realized if the company was to stay afloat someone had to step in and take action. Susan realized that no one could effectively convey the passion she felt for her news reports geared to older Americans, “LIFE IN PRIME TIME” as well as her. So she hit the road on a ten-state trek driving from CT to FL door knocking on as many television stations as she could hit on, in as many markets as she could see. At the end of her 3-week trip she had single-handedly sold 28 stations and fired her syndicator. Back home she hired two salespeople trained them and continued to sell the television project, while also providing PR support as well. Under her direction the show was featured in numerous top trade publications such as ADVERSTING AGE, TV WEEK and ELECTRONIC MEDIA as well as hits on AP and UPI. Television stories about the project were aired on CNN and ABC NEWSFEED SERVICES. During the past 18 years she has lived in Florida, Susan has also chaired and been involved in numerous charitable events raising several million dollars. She has been involved in every aspect of fund raising for these events from: deciding on the location and theme of the event, securing items to auction, designing the invitations, organizing the numerous committees, securing the permits and insurance, obtaining and coordinating “A-list” celebrities to appear, handling the pr for the press and coordinating the interviews for the event, to clean up and distribution of funds after the event. Some of the events she has been involved with include: KRAVITZ CENTER’S - REACH FOR THE STARS, RED CROSS BALL, MENTAL HEALTH BALL, COVENANT HOUSE, and the LIONS CLUB EYE RESEARCH CENTER GOLF TOURNAMENT. Most recently she served as Auction Committee chairwoman for MIAMI ROCKS FOR RELIEF, an event which was organized in 3 weeks with the Red Cross to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina which in one night raised half a million dollars. Her strong media contacts, energy, persistence and determination to create a buzz, as well as her creativity and ability to locate and target the right demo... all help to generate exposure and visibility for her clients. |
